Mr Fry is a Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and Chair of the Head and Neck Cancer Team at the leading and most prestigious Hospital in the UK for Head and Neck Surgery, Guys Hospital London.

He joined Guys and St Thomas NHS trust in 2016 and has since built the busiest head and neck practice in the country. Mr Fry is one of only a few specialist surgeons in London performing surgery for mouth cancers and also performs more microvascular facial reconstructions than anyone else, with the highest success rates around, now 99%. His results have been presented at major national meetings.

Mr Fry has been at the forefront of development and refinement of techniques in head and neck reconstruction including pioneering latest 3D printing and scarless techniques to increase the accuracy of reconstructions for patients and helping to improve their lives.
Mr Fry is extremely focussed on providing the best possible outcomes available for his patients, who now travel far and wide from across the UK and beyond for his care.

History

Mr Fry is a UK trained Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon – dual qualified he graduated from both Dentistry and Medicine, with multiple prizes and a distinction, from Sheffield University in 2003 and Newcastle University in 2008, respectively. 

He obtained his FRCS in 2014 and was awarded a Royal College of Surgeons research fellowship in 2014 investigating mechanisms of early invasion of mouth cancers and undertook a prestigious advanced national training fellowship in head and neck surgery – ENT, Plastics and OMFS in 2015. His research in refining reconstructions with fibular free flaps was awarded a national prize by the British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. 

Mr Fry is recognized as the lead trainer for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Guys and ST Thomas, where he has worked as a consultant since 2016.
